more more wonder woman...

it is now public:
http://www.newsarama.com/comics/030919-Wednesday-Comics.html

also, i had THOUGHT that i posted these before, but it looks like i didn't. which is why i'm not allowed to do brain surgery anymore. various development designs for wonder woman, some of which are VERY different from the final look. also, the story changed very radically from it's first inception, so i'm afraid all of the paradise island/ amazon history junk is out. (the series was originally mooted to be 52 issues, when it was downsized to 12, some inevitable trimming resulted.)

This is exciting news. My 4 year old daughter and I have spent many evenings reading the Wonder Woman books you did with Nina Jaffee--your design for Diana's costume there is my favorite costume design for her ever. I'll definitely pick up Wednesday Comics for her.

thanks rob! that means a lot to me.

although there are lots of things i wish i could redo about those books, i think that is one of the projects i am most proud of. honestly, that's why i decided to do WW -- for some reason, mark chiarello actually let me pick whoever i wanted (probably just lucky timing) and i as REALLY tempted to do superman. i've had a crazy story for him for years... but i had to take another crack at the amazon princess. i think chiarello also had that in mind... my earlier drafts of the wednesday story were much darker, both artistically and story-wise. he gently but firmly nudged me into a more all-ages direction, which was fine with me!
although this story will definitely be weird.
hanks again!

sweet. i'm a big fan of your work and your style. i've made it a point to collect your work wherever i can find it. i've both your cartooning tutorials, your WW stuff, the dracula book and the dare detectives. your research ethic and careful character development are things i both admire as well. i firmly believe you're an artist of merit and look forward to picking up more as you do. thanks.

Here in Spain, there's no publisher to your books with Jaffee... but I saw samples on Previews & Amazon months ago and like it very much.

Im waiting so excited your work on that Wednesday Comics. That sketches are terrific, can't wait for the complete work. Good luck with the Wonder Woman part in the project!
